Step 2 - Selecting Items
In this step you will learn about job types, and the various ways to include or exclude items in backup jobs.
Firstly select your job type:
Backup the selected services
If you just want to back part of your service or split your backups into separate jobs, you can select just the service you want.
When more than one backup Item(For example MailBox, Teams and OneDrive) are selected, that many number of jobs will be created with job name suffixed with the backup type as shown below.
When "All" option is selected, similarly 5 jobs will be created.
Backup the following items
You can of course simply backup a customised list of selected users, groups or sites.
Simply select the radio button 'Backup the following items' and then one of the 3 buttons - Add User(s), Add Group(s) or Add Site(s).
Each icons represents the following backup types
MailBox
Archive MailBox
OneDrive
SharePoint Sites
Group MailBox
Group SharePoint
Teams
Teams Channel chat
In the example below, we have selected 'Add User(s)' then simply ticked the item types we wish to backup for each selected user in the grid. Once all requirements have been selected, simply click 'Update' to add to the job. You may repeat this step as many times as you wish until you have selected all the desired Users, Groups Sites & Teams.
